"Siege Of The Terminators Hex and Batman find themselves falling to their death, afer battling atop New York City skyscrapers (as seen in Hex #11). Batman manages to save himself and Hex from falling, but before they are completely out of harms way Batman falls again. Hex pulls him to safety and is perplexed as to why Batman saved his life, since the Combine claimed he was a cold blooded killer who tortured and murdered Stiletta. Hex suspects that he has been tricked into thinking Batman is a villain, and the two warriors call a truce. Batman takes Hex to his secret hideout (inside the flame of the Statue of Liberty) and convinces Hex of his innocence. Batman allows Hex to keep his firearms and search the city for her. However, Batman warns Hex that he must leave the city afterwards. Hex and Batman part ways. Meanwhile, the Combine sets an apartment complex ablaze in a plan to distract Batman, while they sneak weapons into the city by way of a phony funeral procession. Batman responds to the fire in his Bat-Jet to help in the rescue effort. As Batman is busy saving lives, the Combine arm their giant robot enforcers with the smuggled armaments. Elsewhere, Hex stumbles upon a fight club and finds Stiletta competing in a bloody death match. Stiletta goes by the name Blonde Spitfire and is apparently suffering from some sort of amnesia. Before Hex can reconnect with Stiletta, the city is attacked by the Combines giant enforcer robots. Batman realizes he has been duped and scrambles to stop the enforcers. Batmans Bat-Jet has no lethal weaponry, so he is hopelessly outgunned by the heavily armed enforcers. Hex watches from the ground as Batman bravely battles the enforcers in what appears to be a hopeless effort. Hex comes to the aid of his newly found ally and overcomes great odds to defeat the robotic Goliaths. Tragically, Batmans Bat-Jet crashes during the chaos, and it is implied that he is dead.
